Sedation Dentistry Relieves Anxiety And Helps You Relax During Treatment.
You Don’t Have To Fear The Dentist Ever Again
Are you one of the millions of people who fear the dentist? If so, you are not alone . Dental anxiety and fear is one of the leading factors that keeps people from receiving needed dental care. Whether from a bad past experience or fear of needles or embarrassment, it is never a good idea to put off dental care as problems can worsen and require more extensive treatment.
To help more patients receive the dental care they need, we offer effective sedation, including advanced IV sedation and general anesthesia performed by a board-certified anesthesiologist. When you choose sedation dentistry, you enjoy calming and nearly painless dental appointments and get the care you need to enjoy the smile you deserve.
Patients who experience sedation dentistry often enjoy a great experience at the dentist. When you no longer have anything to fear from dental procedures, you easily get the quality of care you need and enjoy a healthier mouth that is free of pain. Many times, patients with tooth pain due to an infected tooth live with the pain until it becomes unbearable due to dental anxiety. But with sedation, you experience a virtually painless treatment that alleviates the source of tooth pain and allows you to achieve the dream smile you long for.
Our Sedation Options
Nitrous Oxide
This form of sedation involves wearing a mask over your nose during treatment. Nitrous oxide is a fast-acting gas that will quickly put you at ease. The effect quickly wears off once the mask is removed.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is administered via a pill taken before your procedure. Once the pill takes effect, you typically feel very relaxed. You will be able to respond to commands from our doctors, yet not remember your procedure afterwards. With this type of sedation we require that a family member or loved one be present with you at this appointment to safely take you home.
IV Sedation
IV sedation is an advanced form of sedation that puts you into a deep sleeping state where you will not remember any of the procedure. We contract with a board-certified anesthesiologist to perform IV sedation, which is often used when you are undergoing a more extensive procedure such as wisdom teeth extraction or full arch dental implants. With this type of sedation we require that a family member or loved one be present with you to safely take you home.
We believe that every patient has a right to our very best.
