Meet Dr. Trevor Madden

Meet Dr. Trevor Madden – Hello and welcome!

Thank you for taking time to get to know me and the team at McKinneydentist.com. Originally from Colorado, my wife and I moved to Georgetown, Texas in 2014.

In June of 2018, we had the opportunity to come to McKinneydentist.com and make McKinney our home. We have two young children and spend much of our free time outdoors playing with the kids.

In Pursuit of the Dream

I earned my Bachelor of Sciences at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I had access to the Rocky Mountains and fishing streams when not engaged in studies. Following graduation I moved to Portland, Oregon to further my education at Lewis and Clark College, ski on Mount Hood and fish for steelhead trout in the Deschutes River. My passion for the outdoors and desire to help those in need lead me back to Colorado where I volunteered for three years with the Alpine Rescue Team as an Emergency Medical Technician. My experiences with wilderness and emergency medicine led to seven years of service as a Firefighter/Paramedic in Arapahoe and Boulder Counties, Colorado. 

One day following an emergency call, I was doffing my bunker gear, when I took particular notice of how poor my boots fit . Mended with duct tape and modified with custom insoles, nothing made them comfortable. The boots no longer fit, my feet changed and so had I. In that moment, life took a radical turn and I decided to follow my dream and return to school to become a dentist. 

I moved to Lincoln to attend dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following graduation and tired of long cold winters, my wife and I decided to move to Texas to raise our family. I practiced dentistry in Round Rock and Cedar Park Texas for approximately four years. During that time, I learned about the dentists at McKinneydentist.com. Noted for their ability to take care of patients the same day, I took the opportunity to visit, shadow, volunteer and study the practices of Drs. Berlin and Lynch. Little did I know that someday I would have the opportunity to join my mentors in practice. 

Outside the office I enjoy spending time playing with the family outdoors, and learning to play tennis.
