Welcome to the next video from Dr. Jeff Lynch’s Esteem Dental Implants Case Study series. In this video, Dr. Lynch talks about one patient from Allen, TX, whose teeth had a high risk for decay and was tired of constantly struggling with having more dental work done:

Today, I’d like to tell you a story about a patient who came to see me from Allen, which is the town located just south of McKinney. It’s easy to get here from there: you just head north on Highway 75 past the 121 overpass, and Virginia Street is your next exit on the right side. Head up on the access road about a mile, then turn right at the light, which is Virginia Street. Go east the block towards historical downtown McKinney, and we’re located on the North side, a big white building. We’re right across from the Dairy Queen- so, grab a blizzard on your way in and come see us!

This patient from Allen had been seeing his dentist regularly for years, and every time he went in he said he had something new he’d get done. A new crown, or a root canal, he had to have an implant one time, and every time he’d end up with new cavities. Turns out this guy just had a high risk for decay: if your teeth are more like chalk, which absorbs the plaque in the acids, instead of like glass which is more resistant, you’re going to be the type of person who just gets cavities no matter what you do.

There comes a point where it doesn’t make sense to continue dumping good money after bad, and he just kept having more and more dental work done- it just never really got solved. So he started thinking about dental implants, and he looked online on Google and social media. He saw some of my Instagram posts at @drjefflynch.dds, where I was able to help patients with similar problems to his, who are now smiling beautifully and will never get another cavity again. Titanium implants and zirconia bridges do not get cavities- they give him an ability to have solid, beautiful, strong, attached teeth that are not removable, and he can chew with and smile with full confidence.
