Smile Makeover:  Getting The Smile You Deserve

Not everyone is born with the best looking smile.  Some are and we are all certainly envious of them.  That doesn’t leave those of us who weren’t born with a perfect smile totally hopeless either.  Advancements in dentistry have made it possible for just about anyone to the smile they want.

So what if my teeth are crooked?

If you have crooked teeth there are a couple of options.

  1.   Porcelain Veneers – very thin pieces of porcelain and shaped and then layered on to the front of the teeth.  They can also fix gaps and of course stained teeth.  Veneers are an absolute beautiful way to make your smile over.  This is not to mention that they are very strong and natural looking.
  2.   Invisalign – we are sure you have seen the Invisalign commercials on television.  They are very popular option for straightening the teeth.  These are clear aligners that move the teeth gradually until you have achieved the desired result.  They are comfortable and can hardly be seen.

What about whitening my teeth?

There are several ways to whiten you teeth but the most popular in our office is zoom whitening.  Using a special gel and an activation light, you can achieve amazing whitening results in just one office visit.  Teeth whitening is still the most requested cosmetic dental procedure and that is because the results can be seen so quickly.

As mentioned above, veneers can also give you a much whiter and more natural looking smile.  Veneers are more costly than whitening procedures but they will give you the most bang for your buck.

I have experienced trauma to my mouth.  Can you help?

Sometimes we have people come into our office who have had some type of trauma to their mouth either from a car accident, sporting injury or decay caused from either neglect or certain medications.

Whatever the reason, there is no reason to feel bad about it.  There are solutions.  If you have missing teeth, then you may want to go with dental implants.  Those missing teeth are cute on kids but not so much on adults.  Some problems can be fixed with crowns if enough of the tooth is present and strong enough for the crown.
